Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct to centralize accounting, automate our workflows to ensure accuracy and transparency. The system account for all business income and tracks restricted versus unrestricted income, projects (using p-codes), expense transactions, purchasing approvals, fixed asset management, internal control, and reporting. We rely on the system for managing our 7 locations to ensure consistent coding and reporting application across the organization. The system acts as our source of truth.
Pros
- Fixed Asset Management
- Tracking Restricted Income
- Multi Location Management
Cons
- It's expensive to add business users
- Add-ons are pricey but paying for what we use is preferred
- 1099 creation isn't offered
- the automation has provided the opportunity for our accountants to perform higher-level work and less repetitive tasks.
Our organization has left the tedious work to Intacct's automation processes, allowing employees to do more meaningful and higher value work. This has given them the opportunity for greater contribution to the organization and provides growth opportunity more expeditiously than before the automation was offered.
We track every restricted project using project accounting to ensure we are appropriately tracking and adhering to donor restrictions. Sage Intacct is incredibly valuable in this regard. Sage Intacct allows for our corporate expense management platform to easily integrate for seamlessly recording of these expenses. We also track our 7 locations separately so that we can understand location performance by having their own P&Ls and monthly reporting.
