Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce CMS

We partnered with SF to build out a custom platform for our a/r department that mirrors our more manual UNIX software but gives us a graphic interface that allows for custom and more visual representation of the customer data as it relates to collections. Salesforce allows us to instantly see where the account is holding in terms of their aging receivables and allows us to view/enter notes to follow the progress of collections.

Pros

  • Custom interface.
  • Graphic representation of data.
  • Seamless interaction with our data warehouse to present and update data in real time.

Cons

  • Wish it was easier to search and follow progression of cases.
  • Even with all of the customization, it still feels pretty rigid in terms of improving functionality.
  • More AI integration and machine learning to eliminate repetitive tasks.
  • Faster more efficient collections.
  • Receivables turnover improvement.
  • Better presentation of data.
It greatly improved the usability of our antiquated system, and not many issues with using the software.
This is really the first time we had a platform such as SF, so we have nothing to which to compare it.

It has worked well for our use case. Since I was not too involved in the implementation, it's hard for me to say whether it will be an easy fit for others, but judging by the market cap and growth, it seems that they make it really easy to onboard and provide value most of the time.
