Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Sales Cloud

We use Salesforce Sales Cloud to keep track of our dealers (resellers) and customer information, and we also place our orders through SF, where we track the orders. For our dealers, we keep track of those as accounts. For customers, we keep track of those as contacts and tie those to the dealer they purchased from. This is also where we input our orders. So, if an order gets placed, we create an opportunity and fill out all of the information. Then our operations team goes in and updates tracking, etc. Salesforce Sales Cloud is one of the most essential software because we keep track of everything.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Can keep track of all orders placed.
  • Easily searchable.
  • Can keep track of dealer (reseller information) and easily update.
  • Can keep track of customers and tie them to the reseller they purchased from.
  • Easy to create reports.

Cons

  • Tedious to fill out orders.
  • Sometimes error when generating shipping amount.
  • Sometimes when generating a quote, it will error or not load.
  • It is easy for the sales team to track how well the dealers in their region are selling products.
  • It is easy to generate reports and see how well sales are each month compared to past months.
  • Quicker time to get products shipped to customers.
I gave this a rating of 6 because of the word "automated." It seems on Salesforce that we have some issues with automation, so we pretty much do everything manually. We have a designated person who inputs orders, another who adds the tracking, another who adds new dealers, etc. We love Salesforce, and it works great, but we do not really automate anything.
At our company, we use Salesforce and HubSpot. I personally like both for different reasons. Salesforce makes it easy to generate reports, keep track of dealer and customer information, tie customers to dealers, and is easy to use. However, I like HubSpot for the marketing features. I think HubSpot has easier-to-use workflows and email creations.

Do you think Salesforce Sales Cloud delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Salesforce Sales Cloud's feature set?

Yes

Did Salesforce Sales Cloud live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Salesforce Sales Cloud go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Salesforce Sales Cloud again?

Yes

Salesforce Sales Cloud is great for tracking your dealer (reseller) information, customer information, order information, and generating reports. You would want to use Salesforce as a smaller business because it is easy to use and keeps track of everything. You can also click on the reports tab and quickly generate different reports or save them as an Excel file to share with your team. You can set those reports with desired features and change them to fit your needs. I would say SF is not the best if you are going to send lots of marketing emails, etc, because it is not as visually friendly as HubSpot, for example.
