Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
Our sales and engineering departments utilize screenconnect for a number of use cases. It easily allows us to engage in screen sharing with potential clients and to connect to any endpoint on our current clients at any time for our engineers to solve issues on the fly.
- Screen sharing with active documentation, it allows you to capture screenshots and live video in case you need to record an active session for later review.
- It allows VNC style connectivity to get around issues brought up by installers and applications that don't work over RDP.
- ScreenConnect has a built in meeting app that allows multiple people to share a screen for a live demo and sales presentation.
- The mobile and Chromebook integration leaves much to be desired but that is more of a limitation on the device end and not ScreenConnect's.
- One thing that I have yet to master is scaling and sizing the screenconnect windows, if the target screen is larger than mine it is either very tiny on my display or I need to scroll around.
- The connection with Mac clients is still not yet completely up to par, but in a business environment most users should be on Windows anyways which solves that issue.
- Increased Efficiency of technicians definitely.
- Allows sales team to easily show products and demo concepts to potential clients, causing deals to be closed easier.
- Ease of access for technicians. ScreenConnect can be used from any computer anywhere so technicians that are on call can connect to remote sessions and resolve issues without leaving the house.
I selected ScreenConnect because it was designed with MSPs in mind and easily handled multi-tennant structuring. It integrated with my ConnectWise suite with no issues and had tools baked in that made life easier for my engineers such as remote screenshots and video capture as well as file transfer.
