Easy to Use Remote Access, Right Cost for Small Businesses
Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
We use it mostly for remote access. This gives us flexibility to telecommute when we are away from the office (home/vacation).
Pros
- It is easy to use. I like the layout of the site, and the usage and account information made available.
- As long as bitmaps don't have to be painted, response during remote access is enough to allow reasonable work speed.
- It is the right amount of functionality for the price paid, although we do not use the meeting feature.
- Company name in the URL is a nice touch, and easy to remember.
- Chat support was helpful and professional..
Cons
- I still need to determine if this is something I might be doing wrong but PCs keep getting disconnected, apparently randomly. (I will ask support about this. I have the 'One' package, and have 3 PCs signed on at any time. Remote access is only done by me.)
- It makes it possible for me to handle important tasks that would otherwise require me to be in the office or to be at home. At a reasonable cost. With good speed. Very useful. Can't do without it.
- This makes having two 'offices' possible :)
- LogMeIn, TeamViewer and VNC
- TeamViewer: expensive for my use.
- VNC: memory hogging issues in the past, in past companies.
- LogMeIn: worked OK, don't know much about it, or if licensing model is suitable for small a business.
