Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
I am using ScreenConnect to support end users and businesses remotely. Allows me to address issues as they arise no matter where I might be located.
- Easy for end-users to use.
- Cost is very good.
- I like the option of yearly payment or month-to-month.
- I used to use LogMeIn Rescue and LogMeIn Pro. It was a solid product that allowed me to use both at the same time with very little user intervention. [This] product does not offer that same functionality.
- Here's an example: I have a client that purchased a new laptop and they need me to configure it for a user. Since many times software installation requires restarts, I will have a client get me in via Rescue and then from the Rescue session I can install LogMeIn Pro and do what I need to prep that laptop. Once that is complete, I can open a Rescue session from within the Pro session and uninstall the Pro session. This allowed me to bother said client only once...the initial access call. I cannot currently do that with ScreenConnect or at least the last time I tried it, it broke the connections all together. That one for me is a very big issue and would be real nice to have back.
- Expenses have been reduced using ScreenConnect.
- Efficiency took a hit in regards to user configuration of new systems.
- Could be easier to configure screen resolution of remote session.
Stacks up well but not quite as polished.
