Overall Satisfaction with SEMRush
Currently, I use SEMRush for a variety of things. My main usage is for keyword tracking. I like being able to visually see how my keywords are performing on a monthly and weekly basis. I do wish it was able to pull historical data, but I can figure it in a more manual process. I also use SEMRush to track link acquisitions, brand mentions, and generate SEO ideas. One of my favorite tools (beside keyword tracking) is the SERP look up. You're able to see what the current SERP landscape looks like, including answer boxes, ads, and more.
- Keyword tracking: Shows where you currently ranks, the influx you've experienced in position, CPC and competition, as well as where you rank against competitors. Other tools can provide the same type of information, but I have always found SEMRush to be more accurate.
- Site Audit: It's great to have an overview of errors, warning, and notices of your site all in one dashboard.
- Backlink Audit: The dashboard of this feature is what makes me love it. It enables you to simply and quickly see where you're at with backlinks and which ones I should be wary of.
- Historical data of tracked keywords: After you've uploaded your list of keywords for tracking, you're unable to see how you fared before that point.
- Brand monitoring: If you have a company named anything remotely close to another company, you're going to get a mixed bag of results.
- SEMRush enables me to showcase how my SEO consulting work made my clients' sites better and gain more SEO value.
