Overall Satisfaction with Shift
As a Digital Media Creative, I manage multiple business identities and social media accounts, each with their own Google Docs and Sheets workflows. Switching between them using just a browser can be tiring and has a lot of extra steps. Shift makes that a seamless experience when I need to stay in theme.
Pros
- Switching Between Google Accounts
- Keeping me focused on an identity/workflow
- Fast access to different sets of Google Docs/Sheets by account
Cons
- Third party plug-ins for password management often don't load properly and I usually have to access my password manager externally
- Google plug-ins also get glitchy and I often have to use the browser tabs
- If I have too many google sheets/docs open in tabs at once, Shift gets slow, and sometimes I need these workflows
- I'm more effective in meetings, being able to call up notes docs and relevant analytics for meetings as needed, especially in calls that have multiple themes with my collaborators
- I'm less stressed trying to find things, and there are less steps to me accessing my assets
- I move faster overall
Gmail integration is great. Gsuite plug-ins are kind of a tossup and don't always load or load fast enough. I've had a better experience using browser tabs in that accounts workspace in Shift, especially since I'm often referencing multiple sheets and docs at once.
I'm not longer frazzled looking for the endless amount of digital assets I have laying around.
