Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Sigma Computing as a window for visualization on top of Snowflake. It was very good at creating that interactive layer on top of Snowflake so analysts could quickly create outcomes and calculations. They could then be embedded into our application using the analytics embedded function.

Many of these other solutions were not Snowflake-ready when we checked them out. They were ETL tools that extracted and hosted the data. We wanted them to query live into Snowflake.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sigma Computing is a really good option for the new generation of BI that needs to sit on top of Snowflake. It is an early product so there is still a lot of room for development; the fact that Snowflake and Sigma share a lot of the same executives and investors, I see them working together well for a long time.
