Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

I use Skype for business within my organization and with clients.
  • Quick and easy chat among colleagues.
  • Clear phone and video calls.
  • Easy and fast screen sharing.
  • The main pitfall of Skype for Business is that you cannot chat with employees outside your organization. To do so, you must have an ID with their domain name and log out of your current instance of Skype.
  • If you attempt to use the Skype for Business app and the Lync of Skype for business Windows 10 app together, neither program runs efficiently.
  • Skype for business has helped improve ROI by offering a timely way to communicate with peers, cutting down on response times.
  • Since our organization is an Outlook shop, Skype for business is a no-brainer to use as an integration for scheduling conference calls.
I always have Skype for business running alongside regular Skype because there are people outside of my organization that I need to reach in a timely manner. The conference and screensharing functionality of Skype for Business is great and easy to use - but that's mostly because it is readily available as part of the Microsoft Office suite.
Skype for business makes chatting internally among coworkers very easy. However, if you need to chat with people outside of your organization you will need to find another chat service like Gchat, regular Skype, Facebook messenger, etc.
