Overall Satisfaction with Slack
Slack is not used very centrally in our organization, unfortunately. Though we also have Microsoft Teams, the Slack offering is better at this time. Collaboration across teams is easier with Slack. Though I think Teams will catch up.
- Collaboration within and between teams.
- Many channels for very specific topics with experts in it.
- A small learning curve to get the most of the product.
- No other real negatives I can think of.
- Use of the very focused channels with experts in them; the help has been a lifesaver sometimes.
- Not a steep learning curve so adoption is quick among the user base.
Microsoft Teams is part of our Office 365 offering. So because of that, Teams is also used, and over time,Teams did increase in usability and functionality. It is not yet 100% the same but I'm afraid it will be quite soon so probably because of company policy Teams will have to be used. That would be a pity though.
