Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters

We use SmartRecruiters company-wide. It is used by our recruitment team and hiring managers. We recently transitioned from another ATS with the hopes of better streamlining our hiring process. This includes posting jobs, booking interviews, candidate communication, etc.

Pros

  • Easy to navigate, clean interface.
  • Good communication with recruitment and hiring managers.
  • Candidate rating system.
  • Easy to book interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Connection to Microsoft Teams

Cons

  • Adding a functionality where it is possible to parse a resume via Outlook.
  • When a candidate applies to more than one role and is hired to one role the rest of the applications should be eliminated so he/she doesn't remain available.
  • Address input in the profile section.
  • Sending job postings to other social media/job aggregators for free.
  • postive for cross functional and team communication on candidates
SmartRecruiters should use some of the Bullhorn functionalities when it comes to resume parsing from Outlook.
However, we are able to add a resumé if saved in a folder. The drag and drop option would be usefull but it doesn't always work.
SamrtRecruiters
user interface and ability to comunicate via the software with the
hiring manager is a definite added value and time saver.

Do you think SmartRecruiters delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with SmartRecruiters's feature set?

Yes

Did SmartRecruiters live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of SmartRecruiters go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy SmartRecruiters again?

Yes

Mainly because it's user friendly for recruiters and hiring managers to navigate through.
Very quick to repond to support requests and escalations. They're usually aware and on top of things.
It has the potential to be a good ATS but it needs some tweaking in order to handle large volume recruitment and make the process much smoother instead of adding more steps.
What works well with smartrecruiters is that they are always listening to their clients' needs and updating their app to suit our needs.

Integrating SmartRecruiters

I give this rating because it's a working progress. It's started to integrate with LinkedIn Recruiter. If you reach out to a candidate, you can then go in SmartRecruiters and the person is added for you.

Using SmartRecruiters

25 - Talent Acquisition Manager responsible for recruitment across global studios.
We have a support email that we have to contact if we run into any issues. SmartRecruiters is usually aware and already working on the issue or we have to let them know that we are having an issue and they respond rather quickly to let us know they are working on it.
  • Email use keeps track of applicant communication.
  • Notes helps us use this section as internal communication between global locations.
  • The offer section helps us put our offers through to our HR system for contract generation
  • The review section is quite useful as hiring managers can input their review after they interview the applicant.
  • great for tracking KPIs and reporting
  • we would be very keen to see if there can be a plug-in to connect with our HR system. It's really the only thing missing for our business needs.
I'm not the official decision maker however if we were asked, then yes I would definitely renew.

Dear Sylvie, Thank you for taking the time to review us and for your candid feedback. Sorry it has taken us so long to respond. We take your feedback very seriously, and have actually made some serious improvements based on what you and some other customers have said. Smartrecruiters’ key mission is to provide all of our customers with the ultimate candidate and internal user experience. Regarding resume parsing via Outlook, SmartRecruiters has a customer centric approach in order to make it easier for candidates to apply without having to email their resumes. The idea behind it is that the easier the application the easier the hire, which is why we do not plan on adding this functionality. Regarding applicants applying to more than one role, when they are being hired to one, the rest of the applications are not going to be eliminated. Indeed, sometimes people want to hire a candidate for more than one role, usually for project based roles. Also, if you open the ‘all applications view’ of a candidate it will give you his/her stage in each roles and you can easily see if he/she was hired to another role (if the bar is entirely green it means the candidate has been hired). Regarding the job postings on social media, when you create a job posting you can post it to on your networks (Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin) for free, but you can not post it as a general job posting. I am glad to see you are still a customer of ours and using our product. If you are having trouble with it, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or reach out to our support team. You can call us at 1-415-659-9130 and contact us through this page: https://www.smartrecruiters.com/about-us/contact-us/. You can always visit the help-center as well. I hope the fact that you are still using the product means you enjoy it now. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
