Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
As a personal and small business user, I have found using Splashtop's remote access to be a life saver.
Often I am out and about with only a mobile unit and I need to access something on either my desktop or my laptop. This is "lifeblood" to me.
Splashtop works well for me in these instances. I can leave my non-mobile equipment on and be anywhere else with my mobile unit and access what I need. Clients are not left lacking and I can respond in real-time. And, personally, if I need something and it's on file on my non-mobile units, I can get at it.
Pros
- access from my mobile unit to my non-mobile units. This is what I got Splashtop for and it works superlatively well.
Cons
- It's got way more features than I need. That's not a bad thing, it's simply I don't make use of all of it's features. What I do need it does well.
- I feel confident that I won't come across as a flibberty-gibbet when dealing with my customers, because I can access what I need wherever I am.
I was making use of Splashtop from the moment I attempted it and have had to make a few online searches for stuff that was not intuitive to me.
