Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
We are a small support team that supports hundreds of computers across the US. Splashtop allows us to leverage our team without getting on a plane or spending too much time walking our users through a particular issue. It is exactly as if we are on the remote computer. Splashtop has become essential to our department and our business.
Pros
- I can remote in and not interact with the user to solve their issue.
- Splashtop makes it so I see everything the user sees and can interact with the computer the same way that our users do.
- Splashtop allows us to create a detailed inventory of computers and gathers information that is more difficult to get from Intune.
Cons
- Splashtop reporting could be better.
- Adding and removing an administrator was a nightmare. That process needs to improve.
- Splashtop has made it very easy to do remote support.
- It is like I am sitting in front of the computer.
- 90+ computer installs and I never have an issue with any aspect of the software.
Splashtop fills every need for remote support. I am able to use every computer like I am sitting in front of it. It has an easy to use installation process and an easy connection process. The only major downside is that I can only view iOS devices instead of remotely connecting to them.
Onboarding with Splashtop was super easy. We were up and running in a matter of minutes. I was able to get the client going manually on most of the computers that I support. The major downside is that Splashtop is not easy to configure or deploy through Intune. It requires some scripting and is not user friendly.
