Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

There's a handful of users who sometimes work from home and need access to their computers at the office. Splashtop allows them the ability to easily do this from home. The ability to assign a user to multiple computers was a necessary feature for our organization that we frequently utilize.

Pros

  • User Management
  • User Access
  • User Groups

Cons

  • The UI could be a little easier to navigate
  • Chat Support function with a device is only available in Desktop App
  • Less complex pricing could be helpful
  • Ease of use
  • Single step remote access
  • MFA for secure account access
Customer support has been very helpful when I've had an issue. They were also helpful as we were evaluating different remote solutions. They were able to provide information on which plan would be best and which plan would best meet the needs of our organization. I've had no issues that splashtop support was unable to resolve.
The ability to lock down users to only access specific computers was necessary. Also having MFA on users accounts was vital. The ability to blank out the screen and lock the keyboard and mouse during a remote access session was needed as well. The other function that we utilize is that when a remote session is closed it automatically locks the computer.
Our Splashtop experience has been very smooth. I was able to easily deploy it using our RMM. I am able to add the file to the target machine and perform a silent install of the agent in the background. Once install is complete it shows up in our splashtop portal with no issues.

Yes

Did Splashtop live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Splashtop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Splashtop again?

Yes

Splashtop works well for smaller teams. The price is reasonable and it has the features we need. Multi-monitor support is a requirement and Splashtop handles this well. We also needed the ability to assign a single user to be able to access multiple workstations as needed. This is easy to set up, but may take a bit to understand how users and groups work in relation to being assigned to workstations.
