Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
I have been using Splashtop to support over 100 computers for over almost 10 years. The software is quick and easy to install and to use. Remote access is responsive and allows me to do just about anything I need to do on a remote computer. Splashtop is continually adding new features and has been very robust. Overall I have been very happy and would definitely recommend.
Pros

Cons
- Sometimes when I am accessing computers, the Ctrl key locks and stays locked until Ctrl-Alt-Del is pressed. Can be annoying
- Would be nice to be able to see the version number when the Splashtop Streamer app is opened on a remote computer instead of having to click About
- Sometimes Splashtop crashes when several computers are being accessed at the same time, even with very capable specs on my computer
- Allows me to run my business efficiently
- Allows me to perform routine maintenance on customer's systems preventing downtime
- Allows me to be very responsive to customer issues
- Saves me from having to drive to customer sites approx 90% of the time
I am confident that Splashtop is secure or I wouldn't continue to use it. In the almost 10 years that I have been using Splashtop for remote support, I have not had any incidents where it allowed or caused a security concern.
Splashtop has the ability to lock the computer screen on logout which is a great security feature to prevent unauthorized access after a session. The software also allows quick and easy screen blanking and locking of keyboard and mouse and it is very easy to toggle on and off.

Splashtop has been very easy to use. I have over 100 computers that I can access and it has been very simple to add new computers as needed. Other software packages I tried in the past were cumbersome to work through and install. Grouping of computers is also easy. Another feature that I use extensively is the notes for each computer where I can place details about each computer.
Yes - I used to use LogMeIn but they raised their prices dramatically which caused me to start looking for alternatives. I tested Splashtop and really liked the ease of installation and use. I have never regretted switching from LogMeIn and currently have no interest in reviewing other packages. Splashtop was a life saver.
