Overall Satisfaction

  • Scheduling for multiple social media accounts.
  • Agile and swift in showing results for successful social campaigns.
  • Reporting is detailed, and easily share-able among team members.
  • The results captured in the reporting section can be insightful, but many seem out of context or unnecessary. Sprout needs to work more with users to understand what they want to be seeing from their social media, not providing numbers for the sake of reporting.
  • Needs to add support for more recent, but very popular social environments, including Pinterest and Google+
  • The ability to suggest tweets/posts based on past success, similar to an auto-fill in the draft stage, would be helpful. More analytics around what has worked, and insight into why, would make it a very valuable tool.
  • It has simplified the drafting and scheduling process across our social media accounts. Our team can know, with one glance, what days we need more engagement, and where we are reaching our goals for tweets per day etc.
  • It's easy to know what the most successful tweet, post, video etc. was for any time period. The flexible calendar reporting helps compare apples to apples, year over year.
  • Also, we don't have to hunt down one message from a specific account to respond in real time. Sprout eliminates the searching, and keeps everything right in front of us so we can respond immediately.
We would like to see improved reporting insights, not numbers for the sake of reporting. Also, as our social presences grows, it's important that we work with a tool that connects to all of our accounts. We have a large presence on Pinterest, and would like to measure that.
It is the leader in the social media managing market. For anyone beginning to measure their social impact, Sprout is the most affordable, scaleable tool to get your entire team on board measuring success and scheduling future engagement.

Usability

It is a clean, and appealing interface, with lots of commands, but in an efficient layout. Not sure if it has a mobile presence, but unless it's on an iPad, the type of work Sprout can do is more meant for a laptop/desktop setting.

  • Drafting and scheduling social media
  • Reporting for Facebook or Twitter
  • Flexible and fast for reporting month or year to previous month or year
  • There is a delay in reporting, especially Facebook. Sometimes it can take up to a week after to get metrics for a full week prior.
  • Understanding the ranking of the Twitter feed, when sorted by certain factors, can be cumbersome
  • Integration with various accounts is smooth, but it needs to work with more than Facebook and Twitter
