Overall Satisfaction with Square POS

We use the square POS system with our ipad and the card reader. It was easy to set up and we can take it anywhere.

Pros

  • Easy to set up
  • Easy to use
  • Reasonable fees

Cons

  • The hardware could be a little more durable. We have gone through a few of them.
  • I cant say it has had any negative impact
  • It has given us the ability to take multiple payment types
  • Allows us to stay moble
  • Is compact and easy to take anywhere.
I have honestly not tried any other payment options like square. It does what we need it to do. We had looked into paypal as an option but decided not to change anything since it was doing what we needed.
Square works really well for a small business or a freelancer like myself. It gives the ability to take credit cards to pretty much anyone. For someone with a multi-location business or someone looking for a complete system to mange payments and inventory I would not recommend it.
