Overall Satisfaction with Submittable

Submittable offers an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop form creation platform that significantly cuts down on the time it takes to create the same form through a developer for a company with a similar platform. I am able to get an application up and running within hours and days rather than weeks and months.
  • customizable application forms
  • easy-to-use reviewer portal
  • secure communication with applicants
  • Customer service - sometimes I just want to have another person on the other end to walk me through an issue and not have to rely on their support page website.
  • Many applicants (using Gmail primarily) have complained that Submittable emails are not going into their inbox and instead go into either their spam or another folder.
  • More program applications without the additional costs
It's definitely intuitive, accessible, and easy to use. Being unable to change the look and field of the form itself is not great since the default design looks dull especially since Submittable doesn't allow your form to have pages.
Can't say it's built stronger relationships. Many of the applicants are based in Japan and must therefore possess some level of English in order to access the application.
Easiest, fastest, most intuitive, and most affordable option for the level of complexity needed.

Do you think Submittable delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Submittable's feature set?

No

Did Submittable live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Submittable go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Submittable again?

Yes

Well-suited for you if you are comfortable creating forms much like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Wufoo, etc. and need to get an application up and running quickly.

If your forms are complex and require a lot of help, especially if you use Submittable's powerful form logic, then you should go with a service that does this for you.
