Overall Satisfaction with Pigeon Messengr
Our company uses Pigeon Messengr to have group chats and direct 1:1 chats. You can also have a notes page just for yourself. I like being able to easily connect with my coworkers without having to call or email them. It's also really useful since we are spread across multiple states, and even have a few employees in other countries. Ever since our company went remote due to the pandemic, this has become our primary means of communication.
- The video integration tool is really nice because you don't have to open up a separate Zoom window if you need to meet "face to face"
- I like being able to customize my alerts for different people/groups
- I like the ability to set myself as "busy" so that I can focus without being disturbed
- Sometimes it is laggy
- Sometimes I don't get alerts even when I should be
- I wish I could set time limits for "muting" alerts so I didn't have to manually set my status as available
- I wish the mobile app worked better/had the same functionality
- Quick and easy communication
- Read receipts - you are sure when someone else has seen your message
- Video conferencing on a large scale is easier than with other tools we have tried
- Less expensive than phones
- Positive - less time wasted on emails
- Positive - less expensive than having a chat tool and a video tool (and phones!)
- Negative - sometimes tone is hard to convey in text, and this has led to a couple of misunderstandings
Price and ease of use were major factors in our decision to work with PM.
