Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

For support organizations that are controlling remote clients Teamviewer is a must have! Pre-installing the "host" version on the company computers gives us access to remove access as well as chat directly in Teamviewer. We use Teamviewer primarily to control our company clients but also use it to support our customers the best way we can.

Features like Teamviewer safe-mode is great, that gives you the possibility to reboot the computer info safe mode with networking and automatic reconnect with the click of a button when connected to the computer.
  • Remote control, file transfer, reboot to safe mode are just some of the features we use and are very happy with
  • Keeping a organized list with pre-deployed Teamviewer instances that are automatically added to a group based on the installation package generated is very helpful
  • Multiple credentials support (Windows login, pre-defined password) as well as the possibility for multiple pre-defined passwords is great!
  • File transfers are quite slow, this is something that TeamViewer could look into improving. We use it for small file when needed but usually upload bigger files elsewhere because it's simply faster.
  • I have joined a couple of meetings using TeamViewer and that's certainly not the worst platform for meetings although I believe one has to install a small application to join the meeting if you don't already have TeamViewer installed.
  • Being able to help users faster, if they submit a ticket we can easily send them a chat and ask if we can remote control them right away.
Teamviewer might not have all the features other products have but it does it's job so good it's not worth switching from. Remote control is the core and that's what they have done best when we have compared other products. Working with software suppliers has also given us a chance to see what other organization are using for remote controlling computer, most often they use a tool like GoToMeeting, WebEx or LogMeIn that simple does not do all the things Teamviewer can. Teamviewer is great at remote control but a meeting tool as mentioned before might be enough for your needs, you'll need to evaluate a meeting tool and Teamviewer to see what best fits you needs.
I would very much recommend Teamviewer, it has been working great for the years we have used it and I have only been in contact with Support once time during these years.

Teamviewer is good for the small/medium enterprise or simply a support organization where you want the users to easily be able to start Teamviewer QuickStart for you to connect. Since Teamviewer is a known brand and widely used we quite often talk to customers that already have Teamviewer installed ready to go.

Personally I would not buy Teamviewer primarily for anything else than Remote control usage, it has a decent meeting functionality but if you are looking for a meeting tool with remote control capabilities I would recommend a product like Zoom instead, it simply does a better job in meetings but can still give you remote control capabilities.
