Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

With our company now working almost 100% remotely, TeamViewer is an essential tool when helping our staff work through technical issues and program installations. The installer is easy enough for just about any user to use, and you can connect using the simple credentials that appear on the screen. (ID and password). It's a piece of software we use on a daily basis.

Pros

  • Super easy for just about any user to install
  • Options for manual/single use and automatic remote control
  • Free option available for end users

Cons

  • Price point may seem high for smaller organizations
  • Unable to share large files
  • Different versions of TeamViewer are often incompatible, requiring manual updating
  • Allows us to maintain in-house tech support for our remote workforce
  • Ease of use means less time and money spent on training
  • Licenses can be quite expensive for a large user base
Within the first year
The ease of use and application compatibility made the choice an easy one. The quick support module allows us to support our agents without the need for installation, which a lot of users appreciate. Connecting using an ID and password is much easier than trying to configure each system to work with the software, especially since many of our staff use their own PCs.

With the global pandemic changing how we work and interact, remote control tools are more essential than ever. Over the last 18 months we have migrated most of our staff to working fully remotely. TeamViewer makes it easy to continue to support their software and technical support needs while maintaining physical distancing or supporting workers in remote areas. Our users prefer to launch TeamViewer only as needed, so their PCs are not always open for connection. The program however also supports automatic connectivity, which is great for maintaining our automation PCs and servers.
