Overall Satisfaction with ThoughtSpot
We use ThoughtSpot for reporting and to present our data analysis. We use the graphics and its search capabilities in order to have deeper insights. We use it at our operations department for reporting and monitoring and data relations.
- It is a good data search tool
- It's intuitive
- Easy to use
- More data structures
- Easy ways to manipulate data into structures (as an example pivot tables excel)
- Be able to incorporate external predictive models
- Easy to deliver ad hoc requests
- Easy to create interfaces for clients
- easy to get insights
The time it takes to someone to get up to speed with ThoughtSpot varies according to their skillsets. For someone who is used to SQL and relational databases it is quite fast, otherwise it will take longer. Although it is important to say that it is faster to learn ThoughtSpot than SQL.
The most impressive thing regarding ThoughtSpot is the fact it can make a query extremely fast regardless of the size of the dataset. It is also quite impressive it can learn and adapt to your recent questions making it easy to get what we need in a timely manner.
We have more time than before. As an example my manager asked me for a report that needed a quick turn around. I believe that without ThoughtSpot I would be able to deliver it in time, which I actually did. This gave me more time to spend on the modeling and analysis rather than the building the interface.
