Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO BusinessWorks

TIBCO BusinessWorks has been used since my current company was opened. We adopt the best practice of the industry for Telecommunication, especially from TM Forum standard. The necessity for integration is mandatory for the Telco company. Especially when we as a company must follow ESB implementation. With TIBCO BW, the company can provide the integration project ready to be used and shorten the time to market process.
The capability of this software to sync the real data across multiple network elements is one of the key factors. Another success story is the API Management feature that provides convenience for configurable parameters and eases to maintain. In terms of performance, it is proven to be powerful.
  • Powerful as per our performance measurement. Supporting for high TPS.
  • Can be running for virtualization. So we don't have any dependency on the physical server anymore and flexibility to add more capacity.
  • Coding Maintainability, it can be integrated with some plugins to provide tools for avoiding any technical defect on the fly.
  • Adding more plugins and tools for monitoring.
  • Older versions of this software should have an update to support recent integration and API technology i.e. REST and JSON.
  • It should have a flexible licensing scheme.

The training is very useful especially for the operational team, so they could understand the flow and the end-to-end system. Particularly, it is very important to know how the TIBCO BusinessWorks align with our business requirements. Therefore, a specific business case will have a big impact on the understanding of the whole team, including the Architect and Commercial Department.

This software is one of the fastest development and deployment to support Agile and DevOps approach. Therefore, the time-to-market is not an issue here. Especially with the support from TIBCO services that available 24 x 5 for any trouble ticket or escalation issues. This is one of the key drivers to maintain customer satisfaction.
Works like charm. Very recommended. It has a very detailed guide to designing the integration points between multiple systems. Moreover, this product also supports different option and methods for the integration. So, the user will have many ranges of the choices to implement and apply it. The out-of-the-box capability is great.
It is very easy to create the flow for SIT and UAT test case. Also, if a bug is found, then fixes can be done faster.
The mapping details and the flow configuration are easy to be created and managed. It supports all the test cases required by the end customer.
In my point of view, the TIBCO BusinessWorks still better than the similar products and software in the market. The strongest point is the out-of-the-box features and functionalities to support multi-vendor integration and multiple points. The product documentation also one of the important point that the product owner or software company support their customers.
TIBCO BusinessWorks will be working well for System integration using SOAP or XML, for a product that has a short time to market, asynchronous flow, the transaction of high TPS traffic, and real-time transaction. The real-time transaction is most suitable using this tool.

But not suitable for: Batch transaction and Offline Data

We have an exclusive agreement between the company and TIBCO vendor for L2 and L3 supports. So far, there is no major issues or big concerns on how the TIBCO vendor supports their products, especially for any new trouble ticket or bugs found in the system. We also have our own SLA for this support and they comply with it.
We used many integration points that support multiple vendors. It is working well and running smoothly. It is very easy to configure the integration between the different system and able to test the integration flow. The broad area of the supporting protocol is great considering from the popular one like REST and JSON and even the old technology.

We have our internal and standard process for the vendor and software selection. Based on that SOP, we will follow the guideline used by the company. We will be considering all the main factors and weighting of the many points related. Based on technical and business requirements, we will decide on the most suitable products and software to our ecosystem.

Yes - The TIBCO BusinessWorks product is one our critical system that plays an important role in our main business. So, based on this criticality we are willing to pay the premium model for the support. But for sure, this premium support should also follow with agreed SLA and KPI based on our company standard and process.
The TIBCO support team always available 24 x 7 for supporting our main business. Sometimes they also come onsite to assist the big projects and unresolved problems. So, with this confidence level, we are satisfied with the overall support from the TIBCO team. Especially their dedicated person and PIC for our company.
