Overall Satisfaction with Tipalti

We currently use Tipalti to manage our AP process and payments. Tipalti gives us greater visibility into spend, since it's easier to view vendors, spend, reporting etc. on the platform than with our previous AP payment process.
  • Collect W9s and assist with annual 1099 process
  • Reports for payments (to assist with completing monthly bank reconciliations etc)
  • Notifying approvers of bills
  • Creating more solutions for non-US payments. I've seen that Tipalti has improved and is spending time investing in this, and I'd like to continue to see this developed.
  • Importing old data, so that in the year of implementation all I9s can be done in Tipalti.
  • Allowing employees to approve via email (and not charging per approver)
  • Processing 1099s/W9s etc
  • Tipalti has cut down on the email back and forth for approving bills/invoices. With the easy approval by email feature, our different teams can more easily approve and all the info needed is within the email.
Coupa was much more expensive, and they initially told us that there was an integration with out ERP. It turns out they had a 3rd party that could create the integration, but for a large fee.
Stampli did not seem to have as many features.

Do you think Tipalti delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Tipalti's feature set?

Yes

Did Tipalti live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Tipalti go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Tipalti again?

Yes

I think Tipalti is a wonderful solution, but it depends on your needs. If you are primarily in the US, then it is a great solution. If you have payments in several countries, I would recommend doing some due diligence if Tipalti can easily meet all the needs/requirements of those locations. Additionally, Tipalti is coming out with a PO solution soon. If you're hoping to put AP and PO all within one system, it's worth learning about when/how their PO aspect will work.
