Overall Satisfaction with Todoist

I used Todoist as a personal task manager for years. I never tried the teams feature, but overall I found it to be a more than capable cross-platform productivity app that seems to hit a sweet spot between ease of use and overall depth of features for power users.

Pros

  • Cross-platform makes it the same everywhere and anywhere.
  • Can be used for teams.

Cons

  • Not as robust as some competitors.
  • Boolean searches could be easier to use.
  • Hard to measure with a task manager. Peace of mind for sure!
  • I used it to track everything I wanted to do, far beyond business.
I chose Todoist because of its excellent cross platform support. Whether Mac, Windows, Chromebook, iPhone, Android, or Web, Todoist does perhaps the best job of any task manager I've seen of making sure the interface is exactly the same no matter where you are. It makes it easy to pick right up no matter where you're accessing your tasks from.
I've never had to contact customer support.

I would say that if someone is looking for a general personal task manager that it's hard to go wrong with Todoist. It's a major player in the space for a reason, and it has all the features you'd expect like projects, tags, dates, and flexible recurring options. Not a big learning curve.
