Overall Satisfaction with Treasure Data

Treasure Data is being used as our analytics data layer. Most of our data analytics and reports are drawn from Treasure Data.
  • Executing large queries is relatively quick and scalable
  • Well integrated with other systems
  • Indexing functionality is lacking
  • Having a query plan or more detailed breakdown for queries would be nice
  • Execution of large queries allows better exposure to both high level and granular information
  • Automating processes is simple, and reduces the resources needed to develop features
  • Aggregated data serves as a data mart for nontechnical members of the organization
  • Treasure Data reduces the load on production by handling most of the data manipulation for ETL processes
While each product has its own strengths and weaknesses, Treasure Data handles big data the best and in a scalable way.
Having Treasure Data as a database for log files or analytics is most likely the best use case. If used as a production level database, the query times may be too slow.
