Overall Satisfaction with Trello

I use Trello almost every single day. Without Trello, it would be easy to have messages related to new clients or to-do items laying all over the place, but Trello gives each objective and business item a home. Its layout is engaging, its cards practical, and its features widespread.

I particularly enjoy the time tracking feature, even though my company doesn’t utilize it as often. I think it’s a wonderful solution to providing accountability and bolster data on how long certain tasks take certain people

Pros

  • Different forms of communication
  • Engaging, aesthetic layout
  • Time tracking feature

Cons

  • It’d be nice for an admin to put a limit of how many cards are in one card overall. It can get aesthetically overwhelming at times.
  • I don’t love how Trello automatically sends you an email for every piece of communication sent via Trello. I’m already checking it myself daily, and sometimes have to sort through double the information bc of the emails. I also realize this is a feature I could turn off myself though.
  • We meet 100% of new client onboarding deadlines (preventing a delay on the side of the client, where they don’t provide us with what we need)
  • We are all able to make sure we’re allocating our company time wisely.
Overall, it’s more of a tool to me than a hindrance! I enjoy using it; I just wish it showed me less on a screen. Sometimes, I open up Trello and get visually overloaded at what’s on the screen. However, I probably just need to play more with the features to see what’s doable and what’s not!
We actually use both in our company. I personally prefer Slack just because I feel like it gives me more avenues of communication with my peers and coworkers then Trello does.
However, Slack would fail to meet our business requirements for what we need to succeed with new client onboarding. That is definitely a job for Trello. Trello also gives me a clearer timeline of how much time was spent on each task, whereas with Slack, there’s always a little bit of wiggle room on if people are meeting their full business efficiency or not.

Yes

Did implementation of Trello go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Trello again?

Yes

Within my company, we are regularly onboarding new clients, who are having their very first experience with our company and what our company can offer. But, before we can get the new clients launched, we often have a lengthy to-do list to get through in order to prepare all new materials for the new clients.

Trello has proven to be the most helpful resource for client onboarding, where we often have 10 to 20 objectives within a single card detailing what needs to be done and when it needs to be done in order to get the client running.
