Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We have had many employee situations where the HR director or CEO may not have background on how to approach the situation. TriNet has been good to advise or recommend steps on how to address those situations. Additionally, we have gotten good feedback from users on the friendliness of the portal and the response to their questions.
In both situations where we use it today, we use it across the entire organization. I am a user as an employee of Consero Global and we implemented it at a client's office to address easy access to information by employees, better group benefits, transparency and recording of PTO.

Pros

  • User interface with employees. Easy to access information due to its navigation screens.
  • Easy to pull relevant reports when you need them which are already created for you.
  • Benefit comparison during open enrollment is very helpful and easy to read.
  • Improve transparency of payroll services costs.
  • HR compliance has been great as we can't keep up with all of the state requirements where our employees work.
  • User friendliness of employee portal as it eliminates questions to HR.
ADP and Paychex are two I have used for small business consulting clients in the past.
The use of Trinet as a user is excellent. The implementation at one of my client's [office] was great too. We have had some back and forth on questions by the HR director but it is due to internal capabilities or lack of and not of TriNet. TriNet has been very helpful in all areas where we have reached out for an answer or help. One area that could be improved is the notification of charges to administrators when one user takes action on a request without considering the budget impact to the financial budget. Several times, as a CFO, I have had to learn about additional expenses after the fact and not proactively. When you are trying to manage cash for a small business, this is important to know ahead of the time that it is happening.
