We use TriNet for all our employees. As a small company that was entering a multi-year wind-down phase, it was not practical to maintain payroll and employee benefits ourselves for a small team in multiple locations

Pros

All payroll and HR compliance matters
Full suite of employee benefits available
We still maintain complete control over employment and compensation decisions

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to know how to enter/submit one-off payroll changes.

Return on Investment

Make personnel administration manageable.

Likelihood to Recommend

Small companies that do not have resources to manage payroll/HR matters independently. Companies with multiple locations may especially value the benefit offerings that would be very difficult to replicate independently.
