Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
TriNet is our company PEO system. We use it for payroll and benefits and on occasion to do an HR consult with our Client Services rep. All employees have a self-service login to make administrative changes and check their paystubs. We like that the compliance piece is not managed in house and TriNet reduces our risks as a business. It's also very helpful not to have to enter benefits deductions from paychecks.
Pros
- Being a one stop shop for payroll and benefits. All deductions are automatically applied.
- Less room for human error with the employee self service tool.
- Excellent Human Resources Capital management rep.
Cons
- Changes that need to be made by the tech team take a long time. Our client service rep always needs to follow up with them.
- Not much room for customization. Our PTO accruals for example are done by month at the beginning of the month versus by the END of the pay period.
- Positive - Saving time for both the HR and Accounting teams.
- Positive - Keeps our company compliant on all HR and Payroll fronts. Great compliance updates.
- Negative - doesn't work well with a retail workforce. We have a lot of new hourly employees joining our team and the system is not user friendly for their remote logins and time keeping.
- Negative - TriNet needs a user friendly mobile app for smart phones.
I was not part of the selection of TriNet, however I know it has a reputable status as a good PTO in the Bay area.
