Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We are a small company and have made the business decision to outsource many of the HR Administrative functions (payroll, benefits, workers comp, etc.) to a PEO. We use TriNet across our whole organization and are happy with the relationship.
  • Payroll processing, especially across multiple jurisdictions
  • Benefit Administration. Having a larger "parent" allows us to provide a suite of benefits to our employees that would not be available to a small employer
  • Cost/Benefit ratio. The annual cost for the many services TriNet provides is well worth the investment. A department of one could not handle the administrative load, the volume of work, or have the expertise that the TriNet team is able to provide.
  • Personalized attention. TriNet has recently gone to a more "call-center" approach when company administrators call in with questions. I appreciated the "old model" much better as I was able to speak directly with someone who I knew understood my company and our nuances.
  • The add-on modules. The Time Clock and Performance Management system, for example, are OK. But nothing special.

My Client Service Reps (both current and previous) are absolutely amazing. They receive 10s in my book. Where TriNet falters is in their new call center system. If I have a question, I do not want to verify my identity and explain my situation from the beginning to a new rep each time.
I also have not necessarily found a need for my Human Capital Consultant. She is certainly helpful, but seems to be stretched a bit thin and for someone with HR experience does not add much value. For a company without an HR Department, she would be a Godsend!
My Benefit Enrollment rep is also wonderful and very helpful. She is very knowledgeable and helps guide us through the open enrollment process.
The platform is easy to use and very self-explanatory.
  • Reduce the time HR spends on administrative tasks
  • Provide Payroll and Benefit expertise -- especially across various states and locations
  • Improved Benefit selections and the ability to provide employees the resources they expect
For a small company with a small HR department, the PEO model is the way to go. I would recommend it to everyone! TriNet is specifically focused on our type and size of industry, and does a good job providing the resources we need. Strong benefits for example, and HR guidance as needed.
