Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

I use TriNet for payroll processing, benefits enrollment (including retirement account setup), PTO/leave accrual process, job costing, and reports/analytics. Our company is using TriNet PEO model and it has been working well for the company for at least 6+ years that I have been working in my role.

Pros

  • Fantastic customer service and communication in most cases
  • Easy-to-navigate platforms, browser and mobile apps
  • Community-oriented product offers
  • Excellent benefits offerings and easy, simple enrollment process

Cons

  • Follow-up on resolution for systematic cases
  • PTO/leave accrual used to be off, incorrect and taking too long to reconcile
  • The same PTO/leave accrual issue recurring too many times for a long time
  • TriNet has helped the company process the administration for our growth from 50+ to 90+ employees
  • TriNet has helped keep the company compliant by communicating any issue and possible resolutions
  • TriNet has continued to invest into improving their platforms (browser and mobile apps) and adding new features and helpful tools
I think it's great that TriNet has a centralized Solution Center phone number that one can call and a centralized email to send any inquiries or requests to. TriNet then has a confirmation email and assigns a case number for a specialist to review and get back to the request. I also like that there are human payroll specialist and customer success consultant assigned to our company so I know who to reach out to for any guidance or assistance.
In most cases, TriNet provides excellent and fast responses to any inquiry or request. The review process for TriNet seems intuitive, with TriNet sending a confirmation email that includes a case number for any help request. The request seems to get reviewed and forwarded to the appropriate department and a representative/specialist from that department returns a response, usually very detailed and with quick turnaround time. Otherwise, I call the phone number of the Solution Center and use the reference case number to get more urgent assistance. Staff is almost always friendly, patient, and eager to resolve any issue.

TriNet assigns a specific payroll specialist to assist with payroll processing for my company. In general, our company also has an assigned Associate Customer Success Consultant for all of our requests or cases. TriNet teams have almost always provided excellent customer service and helpful information to help with decision-making. TriNet also offers great educational materials and newsletters to help keep employers informed and compliant with any updates.
