Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

We used TrustRadius to decide which HCM to choose. We ended up going with UltiPro.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
  • To confirm my decision
Seeing ratings and comments from other real users was helpful. Also, after we purchased UltiPro, I used the comments on UltiPro to know what areas to target with our implementation consultant. That way we can avoid common pitfalls or be aware of weaknesses in the product before go live. Having [feedback from] people in the trenches gives a non-salesy perspective.
Honest and balanced. If someone starts ranting, their reliability quickly drops.
When you're purchasing a product, it feels as if the sales people will tell you anything to get you to buy. It's hard to trust them since we have instances where after we've signed a contract, the implementation people will say "yeah, that was promised, but what they didn't mention was x." Having reviews from real people is like pulling back the curtain and seeing what life is really like with the product.
  • Well-written reviews
  • Specific reviews - listing specific pro and cons
  • Clean interface
  • Continue to build out your database
  • I also didn't see much data on pricing, which would be helpful. Even if it was a range.
We used Gartner and other analyst reports. They were helpful as a deep dive on the company and market position of products, but TrustRadius is better for knowing what "people like me" are experiencing with the product.
TrustRadius.com seems to have developed a large database of helpful, recent reviews. Some of the other sites seem outdated or vague.
Yes, they actually gave me more leverage in negotiations and keeping sales people honest. :)
Very helpful reference site for making decisions.
