Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use UKG Pro for payroll, tax payments and wage garnishments, HR record-keeping, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, surveys, timekeeping, performance reviews, reporting. We currently have 13 component companies on [the] UKG Pro Platform and three different payroll frequencies. We also use UKG Pro as the system to feed employee status and employment information to our active directory, IT set-ups in Service Now, and other 3rd party systems the business units use to manage employee user access.

Pros

  • Streamline payroll and tax payments
  • BI reports and analytics - via scheduled delivery
  • Consolidating all employee data on a user-friendly platform for easy navigation and administration
  • Products are holistic, and all geared towards helping HR and companies manage their teams and team members

Cons

  • Include SSO links in notification emails for users that work in the field that use the mobile app, as well as the standard links that route back to the desktop. e.g. PTO request approvals, job requisition approvals, people assist notifications
  • Service requests in Ultimate Community have a serious lag. Provide more resources to get projects completed in a more timely manner. Most steps are stalled in our internal projects that require data feeds, UDES, or interface builds waiting for a UKG resource assignment.

I love that UKG [Pro] is open to new ideas and implementing changes based on client feedback. UKG [Pro] has a very robust reporting and analytic database with BI reporting. [The] platform is setup to handle the full life cycle of employees and is very user-friendly. UKG [Pro] is always upgrading and coming up with new products to enhance [the] user and admin experience.

Upgrading UKG Pro

Yes - We are still implementing Workforce Dimensions, currently in phase II of Advanced Forecasting. I consider this project a major implementation. The first phase of the project required 12-15 weeks and we used all of our resources to go live on schedule. We worked on exceptions and of course made modifications after working in production. Our UKG implementation team is outstanding. Very responsive and knowledgeable. Timekeeping, as it relates to payroll, is very important for reporting wage hour accuracy. Most of our hourly employees are in CA. We have 13 playgroups, 3 pay frequencies, and support 5 industries. Our payroll and accrual policies are specific to different subsets of employees in multiple locations.

Using UKG Pro

5000 - Administrators for Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, employees and People managers. UKG is the system of record for all employees. We use UKG to send employee data to several 3rd party systems to ensure permissions and rosters are current on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. We have employees in all US States, Mexico and Philippines using UKG pro and Workforce Management
16 - IT Admins - help with SFTP and emails that flow to and UKG to other systems. Human Resources Administrators for Onboarding, employee workflow approvals, system integrity checks, employee offboarding. Payroll Administrators and Analyst to process payroll for 18 pay groups, gatekeepers for maintaining the naming and formatting of Org Levels, Job titles, work locations, tax jurisdictions and processing payrolls. System Administrators to help with creating reports and dashboards, scheduling reports, sending files to auditors, monitors user security and access, reset passwords when applicable and troubleshoot when users or admins access has been interrupted or can't access UKG Pro/Workforce Management.

We have been a customer since 2015, we have gone to market and find that UKG Pro product is both user friendly for administrators as well as the employee. The qualify of support and service of UKG team is valued and we trust the product.

Using UKG Pro

We are functioning very well with almost all UKG Products. We continuously look for other areas we can use the system to increase efficiencies in our processes. UKG Pro has been very instrumental in putting HR in a position to have a seat at the table when business decisions are made, and data is needed to support new projects.
