Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

We use the UKG Ready platform through a third-party named Fuse Workforce. One of my favorite things about the UKG platform is the seamless connection between the people management and payroll pieces. In previous platforms, there was a disconnection between those 2 pieces and it was overly complicated to process payroll. We use the UKG ready platforms from recruiting, onboarding, benefits, performance management, offboarding and people management.

Pros

  • Seamless connectivity between different pieces
  • Payroll is simple
  • Performance Management creations are easy

Cons

  • Learning piece is separate from the main account, employees have to download 2 apps
  • With Fuse, the helpdesk is sometimes difficult to reach
  • With Fuse, getting a solution can be challenging since it’s a third party
  • The Learning function has been a huge success! Our employees love the option to complete trainings on the go.
  • Payroll is easy to navigate and process so it saves lots of time and allows for focusing on larger projects.
UKG is the platform with the best overall usability on both an admin and user side. Employees find it easy to update personal information, the dashboards are clear and easy to follow, and the navigation of it is also easy to follow. Overall my favorite platform to use and learn more about.
UKG Ready is on the easier end of integrating with other products. We have a few third-party vendors that we utilize for 401k, benefits, learning and development and they've all been fairly simple to setup the integration with UKG Ready. I do think that there should be expansion of integration to other third-party vendors for example pre-employment screenings, rewards, and communication platforms.
Yes, the payroll function is really easy to use and the workflow helps not miss a step in such a critical process. Now the only delay in payroll is truly getting managers to process their teams timesheets and requests. After that, the payroll process is great at pulling in timesheet data and closing payroll. I can finish payroll in less than 30 minutes once we have all needed items from our internal team.
UKG is much easier to use and customize for our business needs. I enjoy that the time piece is directly connected with the payroll function. This is something that we didn't see when working with Paylocity. There was a manual time data upload that we needed to process into the Payroll function to process payroll. UKG has this setup and it's just a click of a button, so simple!

There’s not much for me to share here other than multiple mobile apps for employees to download for different functions. We have the learning function activated and employees had to download a second mobile app (HCMToGo Learning) to be able to access the Learning portal on the go. Concerned that if we continue to add more functionality, there will be more apps to download.
