Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

HRIS for employee and employment information salary history, emergency contacts address taxes, payroll and PTO

Pros

  • Customizable homepage
  • Easy access to tax records

Cons

  • Platform is non-intuitive in terms of its design and where things are located
  • When changing permissions you have to do things in multiple parts of the platform and again it’s non intuitive
  • Easier to run some simple reports for us to track retention and attrition
  • Easy to manage an annual compliance, checklist and signing documents
The platform is really clunky and isn’t intuitive to use for the user experience. It can be quite tricky, particularly when it comes to signing different documents and on the employer side, it’s challenging to navigate limited in scope and a little bit old school and not inviting to use
we tried to integrate UKG ready into Lattice, and this is as much feedback for a lot as it is for UKG, but it doesn’t actually integrate and can only set up SFTP file transfers and it was so complicated. We decided to abandon it
on the positive. It’s much easier to use when issuing employee, checklist and tracking progress then other platforms that I have used on the negative because it’s pretty restricted and when it’s able to do, especially in the reporting it caused me a lot of extra time trying to customize reports and then rearrange and change them to suit my business needs
I had limited exposure to UKG Pro but it was also fairly complicated to use belt for audit readiness, but it also had much more expensive capabilities which in comparison or superior service. namely was much more user-friendly, but it wasn’t as good of a platform from a compliance perspective

No

UKG is good for a large scale organizations and it has really good audit records, but it’s challenging to use for a small professional services organization because it’s highly complex overly engineered and doesn’t track the things that we wanted it to track. For example, it doesn’t track bonus percentages, or total bonus or total actualized compensation over your basis and we also find the reporting is very challenging to use and then put into some of our own proprietary models. so all in all it’s hard to use for our compensation use case
