Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

I'm assigned a "Named Service Rep", so I always work with the same person. He knows me and my system, which makes troubleshooting much easier. When we do have to escalate a call, their response is excellent.
We're using UltiPro to manage payroll and HR benefits for the whole Organization. It's used for on-line Open Enrollment, tracking and managing Payroll earnings, deductions and taxes, and providing wage & benefit data to our Project Time system for Prevailing Wage projects. Partner (employee) information is fed from UltiPro into Active Directory, and used in our SharePoint intranet / Partner Directory.
  • We're able to build "special" calculation rules for deductions that are a little unusual.
  • Integration with our other systems (Project Time, Service Dispatch, Active Directory) is relatively easy
  • The reporting tool and our access to the data lets us get all the information we need when we need it.
  • Customizing the Open Enrollment session to get it to display available benefits the way we want them can be a little tough

The online classes (both instructor led and self-paced) are thorough and well done. There's a wide variety of topics, and levels.
I went to several in-person classes during our implementation. The instructor was professional and very helpful. That training made our implementation and go-live a much better experience.
As our business need change, the system is flexible enough to make the changes we need.

Configuring UltiPro

I like the configuration tools. It is a little limited, however. I'd like to have access to all of the tables (empExam is one example) and in a perfect world, I'd be able to create custom pages as well as customize existing pages.
