New User, Great Product! So Much Room for Company Growth!

Overall Satisfaction with Vena Solutions

We are using Vena to automate all of our P&L, revenue budget to actual, and financial reporting. This is a process that used to take 4-5 hours to manually run multiple reports and update an extremely large Excel file. This has now been automated. We are now moving towards a sales cube for our sales reporting which will extend across multiple departments. We are hoping to utilize the ad hoc reporting option for quick reporting functions for our sales department.
  • Integration was easy to set up
  • We integrate with NetSuite and the search builds have not been difficult--easy solution next to scripting everything!
  • User friendly dashboard--it as pretty easy to pick up and use as a brand new user
  • Excel add-ons for ad hoc reporting are extremely user friendly and easy to use!
  • Collects all data in one space
  • Cube setup instructions & mapping. Once set up it is easy to use, but if changes are needed, it is difficult.
  • Clear slices - does not work as expected. We have to manually clear out our data often. If a certain intersection is NOT updated with a value then it should be cleared out because there is not a value needed
  • Training documents - some are up to par and some need to be updated with current/relevant information
  • Scheduled reports - we would like to send a report every Monday at 8:00 AM without having to trigger a workflow. We would love to have a 'scheduler' for certain reports.
  • Saved at least 5 hours a week of our CFO running reports, resulting in saved $$
  • Streamlined our month end close process for the books
  • Errors were found throughout our processes while creating the revenue budget. They have now been fixed, resulting in a quicker turn around for customer payments.
We have looked at NetSuite ODBC, which is a connector from NetSuite straight to Excel. This was a one time cost to us which was enticing, but once we dug into it, there was quite a bit of maintenance needed with scripting. Unlike Vena, where the setup is once, searches did not have to be scripted but could be created in the search function instead. the option to grow with Vena was quite larger than with the NetSuite option as well.
We REALLY love what Vena Solutions has done for our financial reporting, but we are having a hard time on the sales cube reporting. We have not had the chance to integrate our budgeting process yet, but once we do I am sure the value for our company will go up. Currently, it is saving us man-hours, but know it can do more!

We have had a hard time with support. My questions seem simple on my end, example 'clear slices' is a large issue with us, but trying to explain to support takes days if not weeks and multiple zoom calls. In all of our issues, we have run into this and I am not sure why. Instead of asking support questions, we have resorted to Google to try and help find out solutions there quicker.
