Overall Satisfaction with Vidyard

It's used for different purposes in our organization. From a top-level side, it's used as the main video hub and to analyze metrics. At my level, I primarily use it to record quick demonstration videos rather than long-winded emails. It helps us come across as more human and doesn't take a great deal of effort to set up. I'm a fan of the UX, its simple instructions, and how you can get started in literally a few clicks. I've used other software that sometimes can be limited in its features or has issues. With Vidyard, I've found the issues of the video appearing after the audio isn't a problem. Again, this is from a basic level so I can only speak as someone who's used it less than a year for basic video recording needs.
  • Easy to get up and running - in just a few clicks.
  • Ease to understand and navigate.
  • Tells you analytics even from a basic level, such as when somebody has viewed your video.
  • Clean interface.
  • Useful video library.
  • Took me a while to realize I wasn't recording on my personal account but the organization's account - could be clearer on how to do this.
  • Sometimes the embed code doesn't work properly - appears twice in content.
  • A few more basic editing tools would take it up a level.
  • I know we've had some integration issues.
  • Migration issues.
  • It has motivated people to start using video more, because of how easy it is.
Loom is quite basic yet it's still just as easy to use as Vidyard screen recorder. What I like about Vidyard is the analytics side and the fact it has fewer issues. With Loom, I found myself filming the same thing multiple times because either the audio was off or the video was appearing too early/late and was out of sync. Out of all the videos I've filmed via Vidyard, I haven't had these issues yet.
Vidyard would suit someone helping onboard a new colleague or client, especially during WFH situations. If you find it difficult following long-winded emails or they get lost, I find watching a video helps. It's why I started to use it more as it would take hours at times to get a written response to a written email, whereas I get responses and engagement much quicker because they can have the video on their screen.

Vidyard Support

I haven't had to deal with a person at Vidyard but the support through knowledge bases and articles is a huge help. We also have in-house video experts who often solve issues so we don't need to always approach Vidyard. I've found it easy navigating around the knowledge base and if the answer I need isn't there, I'm happy to see the 'ask the community' which solves any minor issues I have. It's good they have this in place, rather than having to always wait to speak to someone.

Integrating Vidyard

From what I've seen in the company, it's not been the smoothest but work is being done behind the scenes to fix this.
