Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

Our organization uses WatchGuard AuthPoint for two factor authentication into our workstations which authenticate using Active Directory. It is being used across our entire company. AuthPoint solves the problem of ensuring security and compliance.
  • Easy to set up.
  • Easy to use.
  • Approval using push notification is a big plus. Makes it easy to authenticate without opening the app, or from an Apple Watch..
  • It's a pain as an administrator to get into a local account when AuthPoint is installed.
  • I believe it's bypassed when launching Windows in safe-mode.
  • Increased security is priceless.
I've used Duo, Authy and Google Authenticator for non-work-related accounts. I didn't have any say in initially choosing AuthPoint for our organization and haven't had any big enough reason to recommend we switch away.
Our organization has benefited from that simplicity. Being able to manage it from anywhere is a big plus.
WatchGuard phone and online support has always been excellent. Every issue I've ever had reaches resolution within a reasonable time. Their representatives I have worked with have almost all been very knowledgeable and helpful.

Do you think WatchGuard AuthPoint delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with WatchGuard AuthPoint's feature set?

Yes

Did WatchGuard AuthPoint live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of WatchGuard AuthPoint go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WatchGuard AuthPoint again?

Yes

AuthPoint is easy to use and set up.
It is well suited within an organization of any size using an Active Directory environment.

It is less appropriate when an organization has external IT as it can be a pain for the external IT to get in to an AuthPoint locked workstation.
