Overall Satisfaction with Watchguard Endpoint Security
We use WatchGuard EDR Core which is included in the Firebox Total Security Suite we have for our pair of Fireboxes. We have deployed it to both our Windows and Linux machines. We have enabled the Anti-tampering protection and give great value to the endpoint Isolation feature to kick in when needed.
Pros
- WatchGuard Endpoint Security prevents Ransomware Attacks from Spreading
- WatchGuard Endpoint Security offers great visibility on installed software and hardware
- WatchGuard Endpoint Security provides excellent Endpoint Risk Monitoring
- WatchGuard Endpoint Security offers protection against malware, ransomware, exploits
Cons
- It seems that under certain circumstances, some endpoint appear multiple times in the console. So even though an endpoint is already active it also appears as a newly discovered endpoint that needs to be protected!
- The settings menu could use a redesign, to make it more clear and easier to setup.
- It is hard to calculate the positive impact, since when not getting into trouble and all is OK (no security disaster has happened) one can not know how it would look like if one was not protected by WatchGuard Endpoint Security!
- In any case the fact alone that we have been secure all this time is of great value to us! It is wise to appreciate what one does have, without needing to lose it to appreciate it!
- The central management console is really great and offers all the visibility one can wish for. So there is great value and getting all the info needed without any extra effort!
We did not work with a WatchGuard partner for the purchase or the implementation. We have done this on our own. We think that for someone with some experience in the field this is no problem. So we would suggest starting on with it and if there are difficulties one can always get support afterwards.
The WatchGuard unified security platform is really of great value! We wouldn't change it for anything. The key feature is that with the Watchguard platform you get ALL the security solutions und the same platform including the firewall. Adding NDR and MDR to the mix will give you great results and insight on all you can need!
Having all the Cloud products together in one platform is a real timesaver. The integration is a good as one can wish for. The only thing we are missing in the platform is WatchGuard DNSWatch, which has not been integrated yet. However as we have been told this is a work in progress an is expected to be integrated as well.
The main reason we have selected WatchGuard Endpoint Security is the integration it has with the other WatchGuard security products we are using. The WatchGuard Cloud platform is really of great value!
