Great meeting app, but it's lost space for not being our regular IM application

Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

It's used across the whole organization to have internal and external meetings. BT has also embedded its own voice product into Webex, BT MeetCenter. Webex is available for all BT employees and we tend to use it with customers and partners that have limited access to Teams, I.E. Verizon engineers working in the mid-east and Asia, these guys tend to have problems joining Teams meetings and we've been using Webex meetings in these cases.
  • Ease of use.
  • Accessible throughout organizations.
  • Generally available on several locations in the world.
  • Embedding IM.
  • Audio voice integration problems.
  • UX to integrate it with IM.
  • Made possible for us to have important migration meetings.
  • Brought some difficulty to easy and quick meetings that led us to use MS Teams in most cases.
Zoom seems to be a less robust product than Webex, even though it's easy to use and strict to the point. It's never given me or my colleagues any problems or difficulties to attend a meeting. Teams are the whole package. Despite consuming too much of the computer resources, it has IM, it has meetings and forums that allow us to have open discussions. Even though it is a huge program, it's easier for us to arrange meetings on it (considering the features I use, it gives me everything Webex does). As mentioned earlier, I rather going from a couple of messages directly to a meeting than having to log in to Webex and arrange one.
I've already had problems with it in the past and had to raise cases with Cisco Support. They were very helpful and precise, despite not being too quick on the initial response. Also, they're constantly upgrading the product in order to resolve small issues we could face and add new features.

Do you think Webex App delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Webex App's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webex App go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex App again?

No

The only problem I have with it is that I'm not constantly using it and having to arrange a meeting on a separate app than the one I'm using to do everything else sounds like too much trouble. When we're already in a meeting, there's nothing to complain about. Great application, easy to access, generally available worldwide and etc. I've had a problem with the audio driver twice in the past 4 years, so it's not really a headache.
Not having IM capabilities, it lost space to Skype in the past and more recently Teams, due to the ease of use and practicality of us being able to just sew a small conversation or doubt into a phone call plenty of features and capabilities for us to share screen or present a given app or give control/permission to whoever's attending the call/meeting. It's a good product, but it has lost space to Teams, I believe because people wouldn't like to have the trouble to arrange a Webex Meeting. They'd rather just click a button on their current IM program, already open most of the time.
