Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Webex App as an online video and audio communication platform for interviews as part of my organization. Webex App is used to bridge the online communication gap, especially during current times with COVID. I used Webex App to both conduct and undertake online (user) interviews. It allowed for either audio or video interviews.

Pros and Cons

Good video feed
Good audio stream
Good options for different screen layouts

Takes a long time to download.
Sometimes hard to tell whether I'm muted.

Return on Investment

Webex App has facilitated professional discussions with colleagues.
Webex App has provided a good alternative web conferencing platform.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom

Albeit being slightly less intuitive to use, I would consider Webex App is more "professional" or formal than Zoom, and we preferred to use Webex App because it was readily available and already used by most people.

Support Rating

After speaking to a few people, not a lot of people know about Webex App, as they are more familiar with other video conference software. However, those that I have spoken to have largely been supportive of the Webex App and will continue to use it from here on. A few people have said that they like many of the features of the Webex App and will continue to use it concurrently with other conference software.

Usability

At first, Webex App wasn't as intuitive to use as other video conferencing softwares were. However, once I got used to the different features, it became relatively simple to use. I rated Webex App's overall usability a 6 because it isn't too difficult to first use, but can be trickier for some people.

Likelihood to Recommend

Webex App is good if you need to conduct formal or professional meetings or interviews with colleagues/clients etc. In my opinion, it seems more formal than other web conference software that currently exists. However, Webex App is not as intuitive to use as some of the other software, so it might not be as useful for quick general meetings or social catch-ups.
