Webex Calling Review
Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling
So the benefits in regards to utilizing Cisco and Cisco WebEx is depending on where you are, whether you're in on campus or whether you are working from home. Cisco WebEx Calling enables a seamless user experience for calling messaging, collaborating, video, all in one hit.
Pros
- Depending on what the persona is, as I said, if you are in a big campus where everyone is out and about within the facility, it suits that high-end architectural infrastructure base or working from home where you're just logging in via the internet and bang, you've got access to the same tools.
Cons
- I think what it's doing is it is still the leader when it comes to being able to present calling platforms. And I mean I guess it's number one competitor from a software perspective is Microsoft Teams, Cisco is doing everything possible to provide open source to enable Microsoft and Cisco to work together, particularly when it comes to user room experiences so that no one is feeling like they're left alone or compromised or somewhat segregated when they're choosing one technology versus the other, which is a great thing.
- Certainly when it comes to my client base, they certainly understand the benefits of the full end-to-end, Cisco stack. And when I talk about a calling platform in regards to it simply being a call from one end to another or a message from one end to another, Cisco provides so much more because it enables all that AI and I guess analytical data of which the endpoints cover. So when it comes to integrating with a meeting room experience and you're in a meeting room that can cater for up to 20 people, but say for example, only two or three people on average utilize that room, that type of safe spacing information gets transmitted into other business decisions that can benefit the business from an ROI perspective such as rearranging the interior design to create better outcomes for worker experiences. So much more than just a calling platform.
It does benefit from the Cisco WebEx endpoint offerings, the full range of endpoint devices, whether it be a client on a mobile phone into desktop related features such as the Cisco WebEx boards when you go into the meeting rooms, the full range. And now with the new, I think the Cisco microphone, which is the roof ceiling one, that will enhance the experience alone as well. And also just the analytics and the AI components attached to all those endpoints integrated with the calling platform continue Cisco's evolution in leading in technology.
