Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

We are using Webex in our organization as our Softphone and Meeting client. Using this application specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic has proven extremely beneficial.

Pros

  • Softphone capability.
  • Connectivity to Webex Conferencing Equipment.
  • Webex Meeting integration.

Cons

  • Better file management in spaces.
  • File co-authoring in spaces.
  • Missed calls capability when app is not running.
  • Ability for users to be easily accessible.
I think Webex is just as good as Microsoft Teams. From a softphone perspective it is very good because it integrates perfectly with our Unified Communication Environment. I also like the interface better.

As expected Microsoft Teams integrates better with their own products better.
Since we pay for Webex support I have have found opening a ticket is very easy and they usually are able to assist me in a timely manner. We have have a very large Unified Communication environment with about 9,000 users. We have run into very complex issues and support in general is been able to help us get through this issues.

I use many functions of Webex. This includes Channels, softphone, Webex Meeting, etc. Overall all are very easy to use. The only issue I have noticed is that it does take a more time than expected to go into a Webex Meeting. From an Admin perspective I like that can do so much from the Control Hub.
One item I really like about Webex App is the ability to collaborate with others outside of my organization. This has been extremely beneficial when working on projects with customer and vendors. It is very beneficial that I am able to run the Webex App on all my platforms (Windows/Mac/Android). This makes is very easy to join meetings and collaborate wherever I am.
