Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

I don't use Webex meetings within the organization. The use has been limited in the last 2 years to invitations sent from collaborators for example, in other parts of the US and Canada, as well as Europe. I usually use it as a communication tool (a call) as well as screen sharing.
  • In-call video and audio real-time call.
  • Screen sharing
  • Multi-user call
  • Provide multi-user screen sharing.
  • Quality of call for poor internet connections.
  • Being able to collaborate with people based in other countries.
  • Ability to implement a project (a grant for example) in a collaborative and accelerated way (because of no in-person meetings were required).
  • Replaces long chains of emails, that cost time and eventually money. And that could be easily dismissed or forgotten.
I am a regular user of Zoom and had to also get used to MS Teams. Based on my experience, my Webex usage was prompted by collaborators who would invite me to events or collaboration calls. As someone who still uses Zoom for scheduling calls, and MS Teams to schedule certain [kinds] of online teaching, I am still satisfied with Webex. I find myself in the category of people who use Webex "only if I have to" - which is a hard category to satisfy. However, the interface Webex presents is user-friendly, in my opinion. I didn't have trouble understanding the tools and using them. In some instances, I had to download the Webex app and use it on my desktop or phone. In some other instances, I was able to use Webex internet (by using the website on Chrome). Based on that unfamiliarity paired with satisfaction as a "guest" using Webex, I give it a well-deserved 80%.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Webex Meetings's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

As an occasional user for Webex, I used Webex from the app on my phone, or the app on my desktop. I installed and uninstalled Webex a couple of times in the last 2 years. That usually happened when I am not regularly using Webex. Some of my downloads were "last minute" before a meeting. And sometimes, I used the Webex website. In all these scenarios, I had no trouble with Webex and I could see that it is a well-made software. The features in Webex can be improved for slower internet connections.
I believe it is software that is easy to adapt to as an invitee to events/calls. I didn't go through the process of planning an event or call myself on Webex - so I cannot judge myself on that specific aspect.
Webex is easy to use. The website as well as the desktop app, and phone app are good and clear. The tools are easy to understand. The visuals themselves, are simple and minimalistic, in my opinion, compared to Zoom for example, or MS Teams (both of which I use daily). The video quality suffers from internet connections that are slow.
I previously used Webex while working on a research project. A research paper followed and was published. Another component was producing and recording a video to present at a conference. The collaborators were based in Lebanon, Germany, and the US. Combined with screen-sharing and real-time working on Miro (among other tools) we were able to communicate and share visuals. That also allowed feedback on the visuals, which would have taken ages with emails.
