Overall Satisfaction with Widen

I used to manage our old DAM system and was part of the selection process for Acquia DAM (Widen) and one of the things I like most about the Acquia DAM (Widen) platform is the ease with which new admins can be onboarded. The transfer of system ownership to a new admin team was very straightforward and onboarding took minimal effort. Overall, that's a very compelling reason to use Acquia DAM (Widen) - mitigation of change management issues makes the switch much easier than I've experienced with other systems in the past.

I think that we're already in a very good place but I'd love to see us grow more into Portals; this feature makes press kits easy and it also makes it easy for us to control our brand identities so that files are not sent to 3rd party upload sites for distribution.
I think one of the things I've noticed is that we (at least from my seat), don't need much support. The system is largely 'set & forget in many ways, which is great because it does not require internal or external support resources to effectively manage - even on a large-scale implementation!
While I'm not really in a position to articulate the extent that Acquia DAM (Widen) has helped in this area, I can say that theoretically - the Portal feature could become a game-changer. Sharing assets in our old DAM was difficult - something that led to users using other MFT sites to send files. By sharing assets directly within Acquia DAM (Widen), we can control access and asset expiration in a much simpler way than users sending whatever they want on random MFT sites.
I think one of the things I liked the most about Acquia DAM (Widen) in our RFP process was the customer service. They treated us as a partner instead of a customer and I think that goes a long way. Furthermore, the system was highly competitive with other solutions, with a better price for us per user.

The project team from Acquia DAM (Widen) was very easy to work with. They're flexible and can adapt to your business needs regardless of where you are in your DAM journey. My organization had a robust and mature DAM system that was end-of-life that we needed to replace and I really appreciated that the Acquia DAM (Widen) team took the time to understand why some of our business processes were the way that they were; while also challenging us to think through if that was the optimal way of working. The external perspective did lead us to change some of our ways of working for the better!
