Acquia DAM (Widen) is our enterprise digital asset repository for a range of high-quality resources for internal staff, external constituents, and partner organizations.
- video streaming
- metadata flexibility
- portals and other ways to release easy to use sub-libraries of digital assets
- The AI detecting key words in images works, but it needs to mature
- integration with SharePoint works, but it is kludgy
- users frequently complain they cannot find the assets they are seeking
- authentication using enterprise SSO credentials works, but it is clunky

Acquia DAM (Widen) has stopped shadow repositories and websites from proliferating. Prior to Acquia DAM (Widen), departments would bring up their own websites to share digital assets which competed with our enterprise DAM platform. Acquia DAM (Widen) has largely ended that practice and staff now voluntarily contribute their assets to the enterprise DAM because it is the place that gets the best exposure.
Acquia DAM (Widen) wins all based on superior capability or better value (in the case of Orange Logic).
