Overall Satisfaction with Wistia

Within my organization, Wistia is mostly being used as a storage location for our various educational videos and webinars. It is currently not specified to a specific department, however, I am typically the one that is in control of its usage. Wistia allows us to not only store and save our videos, but also share and embed them into our website and track information retaining to the video.
  • The safe storage of video content
  • Statistics on video content (watch count, etc.) is easily obtainable
  • Integration of the video to our website is easily done through the embed codes available
  • Sharing specific video products with other individuals without allowing access to other unrelated content
  • Obtaining embed codes for a significantly large number of videos can be very time consuming as there is no way to automatically pull a report.
  • Within a project, there is no way to set the list to show a specific number of videos and you may only have a certain number of videos shown unless you click to expand the list and continue to do so.
  • Once the list is expanded and you click in to a video, when clicking back, the list reloads and you must expand the entire list again which can become very time consuming.
  • Wistia has allowed us to track the activity of our video content to better engage our members and potential leads.
  • This platform has allowed us to embed videos into our own website without the need for an outside developer, saving us on costly contracts.
  • With our own site issues, or whatever it may be, Wistia allows us to be able to add specific individuals to projects and send links to members in order to view the content they are requesting if for some reason the site is not operational.
  • Contracting outside video content, Wistia allows other companies a location to securely upload their videos to us for our use within our site.
Another product similar to Wistia that I have used is Dropbox. Although this platform is great, Wistia provides a much simpler user interface and provides fantastic statistics and tracking available, as well as the ease of embedding and sharing videos, even with others that do not already have an account with Wistia.
Embedding videos from Wistia is smooth and we have never faced an issue. The view of Wistia is incredibly simple and user-friendly. I do wish more reports were available, such as an automatic report of all videos in a project with information pertaining to that video (shareable link, embed code, etc.).
The usability of Wistia is a wonderful experience. I have never faced any glitches or issues while using and operating the website. The layout of the projects themselves is incredibly simple and Wistia provides great organizational tools, however, I do wish that within each project you could create more subsections within the individual sections you create.
Wistia provides an easy to look at interface when it comes to the embed codes, share links, email campaign links, as well as other video actions. Providing various versions of embed codes, they can be easily copied and placed within your WordPress to integrate the video into your site with seamless integration.
Wistia is a terrific platform if you are simply storing video content and embedding these videos on to your own website. You may also set privacy measures and invite people to view specific projects in Wistia, allowing for your content to be shared through links and accounts, without compromising other videos within your account that you do not want the individuals to have access to.
